Adventure YouTube Channel!

Last year, Elliot and I started "Munro Bagging". If you're not sure what that means, you can see my first post about this here. Most of the photos I've taken to date have been from my phone, however, I've always been interested in videography.

I'm not going to say I'm any good at it, or that I'm trying to "go viral" because I don't want to put that pressure on myself. However, I now have a DJI Action 2 camera, which is a tiny camera that can easily be used to capture 4K footage when out and about.

This weekend, when bagging our 14th and 15th Munro's (out of 282...) I took it out for a spin, even trying to get some shots of us in transit, and walking. I'm not yet at the stage where I feel comfortable vlogging, but I'll try taking videos on each of our hikes and share them with our new Channel: Donna and Elliot's Adventures.

You can see my first attempt below:

An Caisteal and Beinn a'Chròin

There are shots that I wish had turned out better (such as the ones with the giant raindrops taking over the screen); but for a first attempt, I'm pretty happy!

Part of the motivation to start sharing our adventures 14 mountains in actually came from Sara, my manager who has taken a sabbatical to hike the Appalachian Trail (roughly 2,200 miles). At the time of writing this blog, she's posted videos up to Day 17 of her hike, and she's a long way to go. If you're interested in following along (which I recommend), she's on Youtube as Sara Walks A Lot.

I enjoy following her adventures, so I thought it worth sharing some of my own.

If you're interested in Scottish mountains, muddy dogs or the odd adventure then please give it a follow!
